Art (watercolour, oil), vocal and violin courses are not currently covered but can be taken as regular courses.
How the subsidy works for one-to-one lessons
One-to-one instrument lessons are "one-person courses" under DSEDJ rules: pay first, claim later.
- 01
Enrol in person
Bring your own Macau ID card or e-ID and enrol on the campus terminal with a local mobile number.
- 02
Pay the fee
One-person courses are paid upfront; no deposit is needed.
- 03
Sign in twice per lesson
Within 30 minutes before to 15 minutes after the start, and within 30 minutes after the end — otherwise the lesson doesn't count.
- 04
Reach 70% attendance
Once valid attendance reaches 70%, you can claim the subsidy.
- 05
Claim via Macau One Account
Apply within 180 days (no later than 31 July 2029) with a Macau bank account; approved amounts are paid by transfer.
Before you enrol
- Unused 2023–2026 balances do not carry over to 2026–2029.
- The subsidy is personal and cannot be transferred to family members.
- Each one-person course allows one reschedule, requested at least 1 hour before the lesson.
- Absences or invalid sign-ins lower attendance and can affect the payout.
- DSEDJ replies within 45 days of the month an application is complete and pays within 90 days of approval.
