In one sentence: Piano builds focus, rhythm, two-hand coordination and reading. KARON Education's kids piano usually starts at 4; a settled 3-year-old can try a trial. Early lessons are playful, then lead to one-to-one piano and ABRSM exams.
Benefits
- Focus — playing a short piece start to finish.
- Coordination — each hand doing something different.
- Rhythm and ear — clapping games and listening.
- Confidence — regular showcases and stage time.
Example: a 7-year-old who started at 4.
Group or one-to-one?
Early-years groups of 4–6 suit beginners who enjoy peers; one-to-one suits children who can sit still, want exams or move at a different pace. Teachers advise after the trial.
Fees
Depends on format, lesson length and level; quoted after the trial. See piano lesson costs in Macau.
No piano at home?
Fine — lessons use centre pianos and a digital piano works at first.
Parent practice and exams
10–15 minutes of practice at home is enough at this age. Exams are optional; families who want them usually take one grade a year.
