Where to learn drawing and painting in Macau
Macau art classes range from hobby groups to private studios. KARON runs 4–6 student groups: watercolor from age 5, oil for teens and adults, at any of the three campuses.

In one sentence: A good kids’ art class teaches looking and colour, not photocopy colouring-in. KARON’s watercolor starts at 5; oil painting suits teens and adults. Groups of 4–6 at Rua da Barca, Fai Chi Kei or Rua do Campo.
Three questions for a children’s class
- Class size — above 8, the teacher cannot watch every brush. Ours are 4–6.
- Materials — included? We supply them; paintings go home.
- Method — we start from observation and demonstration, not photocopied outlines.
Watercolor or oil?
- Watercolor: faster first result, good for children and relaxed adults. Watercolor class.
- Oil: more layering and drying control; from about age 8 or with a little drawing. Oil painting.
